Below will give you a good idea as to when are the best times for seeing the whales
 May 06  
19 May 2006 4 humpback whales were seen in the sound
   
 June 06  
8 June 2006 There have been whales cruising around King George sound almost every day since the 2nd June
9 June 2006 One Humpback made its way into the Sound
12 June 2006 one humpback sighted near Breaksea. 
13 June 2006 Eight humpbacks sauntered into King George Sound.
14 June 2006 Two humpbacks were sighted today, near Mistaken island
15 June 2006 sighting of a Southern Right mother and calf, lying peacefully between Seal Island and Mistaken Island.
16 June 2006 One Humpback sighted off Mistaken Island. Southern Right mother and calf near Goode Beach
17 June 2006 Southern Right mother and calf still in Goode Beach area
18 June 2006 two Humpbacks near Bald Head.
20 June 2006 mother and calf Southern Rights were viewed off Middleton Beach
25 June 2006 Emu Point channel entrance, in company with the Southern Right calf and mother
29 June 2006 two Southern Rights off Middleton Beach
   
 July 06  
3 July 2006 Southern Right mother and calf still just off Middleton Beach 100 metres off shore
8 July 2006 A new Southern Right sighted near Whale World.

Remember:
If whales are diving for prolonged periods or swimming evasively, you are disturbing and upsetting them. Leave them alone. It is an offence to harass whales, and they may permanently abandon an area if continually disturbed.
